Commission Process and Pricing
Portraits may be commissioned in pastel, oils, pencil and watercolor. Determining the sizes is a critical decision. Portraits are painted from good quality photos. Photographs should be clear with good lighting and detail. Head shots should be at least 2 inches in height for best results. Discussion with clients regarding background color and any other details are essential during the preparation for the portrait. Once all of the details are firm a 30% deposit (non-refundable) is due. The painting will then be painted in my studio. Please allow 2-3 months for the whole process to be completed. The client will have a chance to review it and request any reasonable changes. Upon acceptance of the portrait, the balance of the fee is due. All portrait pricing includes a mat but are unframed. Portraits are mailed via US Postal Service.

Oil portraits are painted on stretched canvas that has been primed and then painted with fine quality pigments using artist quality mediums.
Pastel portraits are painted on archival acid-free sanded paper.
Pencil portraits are drawn on 100% cotton vellum finish neutral pH/acid free paper.
